Government Actions

On April 16, 2009, Comcast and the Federal Trade Commission entered into a settlement of allegations that the company and its affiliates violated the federal Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR) by contacting 900,000 phone numbers included in the Do-Not-Call Registry. While admitting no wrong-doing, Comcast agreed to comply with the TSR and to pay $900,000 as a civil penalty. For more information on this settlement, please contact the FTC at www.ftc.gov.
