In addition to its complaint conciliation and public reporting, the BBB also provides a wide range of other dispute resolution options. These include the BBB Customer Care Program (CARE)and the for-fee BBB Mediation and BBB Binding Arbitration Programs. BBB Care is a program for member companies of the Bureau. By participating, these companies are precommitted to binding arbitration for complaints that cannot be resolved through the normal complaint process and fall within the Bureau's purview. There is no charge to the consumer for arbitration under the CARE Program. BBB Mediation is a program through which both parties in a dispute can meet in a neutral location and be assisted in finding a resolution to their dispute. There is a $75 per party fee for mediation services not related to complaint processing. BBB Binding Arbitration is a program through which companies and individuals who are not members of the Bureau and members with disputes that fall outside the Bureau's purview can utilize its arbitration services. The fee for non-CARE binding arbitration is $162.50 per party.
